Our breakthrough TEER-on-Chip platform is an innovative system using the WPI EVOM™ technology to enable real-time, multiplexed trans-endothelial electrical resistance (TEER) measurements for advanced blood-brain barrier (BBB) on-chip models, using SynVivo's SynBBB chips. The EVOM™ TEER-on-Chip platform is the first in a series of on-Chip models that combine SynVivo’s proprietary microfluidic organ-on-chip technology with WPI’s precision TEER measurement EVOM™ instrumentation to deliver unparalleled insights into BBB function, permeability, and drug transport in physiologically-relevant conditions. Researchers can now perform simultaneous, high-throughput barrier assessments across multiple channels, dramatically accelerating drug discovery, neurovascular research, and safety toxicology.
The EVOM™ Chip Platform was originally developed for TEER measurements on the SynVivo Blood-Brain Barrier (BBB) Chip and was designed in accordance with organ-on-a-chip (OOC) standards to support broad compatibility across microphysiological systems. By integrating standardized electrodes into the architecture of other OOC devices, researchers can readily adapt a wide range of organ-on-a-chip platforms for use with the EVOM Chip Platform, enabling consistent and reproducible TEER measurements across diverse applications.
